Six large play rings intersected by the deck and a mature eucalyptus tree provide multiple play opportunities.

Located in historic Parramatta Park, Paddocks Precinct was opened in 2015 as a reprieve from the sprawling city around it, with a design that is reverent to the expansive natural landscape upon which it is set. To emphasise the importance of the natural space, the park is centred around a beautiful, mature eucalyptus tree that is part of a walkway designed to direct traffic through the park.

The design includes various areas of play, broken into six large 'play rings' that can be reached by the timber walkway. Inside the rings, children have access to water pumps and play, structures, free space, a carrousel and woodland discovery. The park is designed to integrate seamlessly with its environment, its neutral palette ensuring it complements rather than contrasts with the natural space around it.
